Zac

Zac was rescued from a hobby farm in Florida right before he was to be sent to slaughter due to advanced age. At only 5 years old Zac was no longer considered useful to the farm and his fate was all but certain. Thankfully a good Samaritan negotiated his rescue and he arrived at Yesahcan Sanctuary as a foster. As time went by it was clear Zac needed to become a permanent resident. Zac is one of the most laid back happy pigs and his radiant personality shines through with everyone he encounters. Zac the pig was named in honor of Zac the human—a true hero for animals. As a trailblazer in the alternative protein industry and a dedicated philanthropist Zac has worked tirelessly to create a kinder world for animals. His passion extends to his family who are also champions for the cause. His children embody this spirit offering hope that the next generation will rise to meet the challenges they’ve inherited. With them leading the way the future shines brighter for animals everywhere. I know they make him so incredibly proud.
