Anna Paulina Luna

Anna Paulina Luna

Hen Anna Paulina Luna was brought to the sanctuary after being rescued from a small egg farm in Florida that was devastated by a predator. Anna was the only survivor and now spends most of her time roaming the sanctuary visiting the other residents dust bathing and foraging for treats. Anna Paulina Luna is named after a hero for animals Representative Anna Paulina Luna from our home state of Florida. Representing our state and many of our members she fights to prevent cruelty to animals in Congress and takes on big foreign corporations who are trying to harm animals in our country. We are most grateful for her work preventing the Eats Act in the Farm Bill which would wipe out animal cruelty laws across the country and pave the way for Chinese pig operations to landscape our rural communities and confine mother pigs in cages so small they’re unable even to turn around for their entire life. Her strong leadership has inspired Republicans and Democrats responsible farmers and humane organizations all to work together to prevent this horrible Eats Act from passing. We are forever grateful for her courage.
