Martin Felix

martin-felix

Martin Felix came to the sanctuary after an extraordinary rescue from a confined animal feeding operation (CAFO). He was one of 42 pigs deemed “unprofitable” due to poor growth and illness and slated to be killed—until compassion intervened. In a rare and remarkable turn, kind individuals secured the release of all 42 pigs, rehabilitated them, and found sanctuary homes where they could finally be safe.

Today, Martin Felix enjoys the full, happy life every pig deserves. He is named in honor of a dedicated advocate for farmed animals who works tirelessly to reduce their suffering and lives his values through a vegan lifestyle, celebrating his 10‑year vegan anniversary in 2026. His name is a tribute to the impact one person’s commitment can have and the lives it helps save.
